Chinese Festivals are very important part of Chinese history, each festival is rich on tradition, excitement and participation.

Chinese Festivals occur throughout the Lunar year. As Chinese official solar calendar year and the traditional Lunar year are different, the festivals fall on different dates each year.

The formation of traditional festivals went through a long process of historical and cultural accumulation in different time frames. Most traditional festivals took shape during the Qin Dynasty (221BC - 206 BC), further developed in the Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 220) and well established by Tang Dynasty ( 618-907).
