Language Classes in London

For all the resident and international students currently in the UK learning languages in London, here’s a bit of a “What’s On in London”.

Until April 6, 2008, the British Museum is displaying the fantastic “The First Emperor: China’s Terracotta Army”, a collection of terracotta warrior statues that were buried alongside China’s first emperor, Qin Shihuangdi, in Xi’an, China. Discovered by a farmer in 1974, the warriors form an 8,000-strong army, intended to protect the emperor in the afterlife. Magnificently preserved after 2,000 years underground, the details are so delicate and precise that it’s even possible to tell which part of China they came from.

Exhibitions and opportunities like these confirm why London is an international hotspot to learn foreign languages. Students don’t just flock to London to learn English and experience British culture, but to study a diverse array of European and Asian languages, and live life in a thriving and fun international centre of culture, the arts, business and finance. At the moment, German, Spanish, Italian, French, Chinese, and Japanese courses are enjoying huge popularity.
